Monarchs Gold’s season came to an end at the semi-finals game against Dix Hill Dodgers out of New York at Ned Skeldon on Sunday evening. Gold had the momentum in their favor with a 3-0 lead through the 4th inning after scoring a run in each of the second, third, and forth innings and playing some strong defense.

In the top of the 5th inning the momentum had a significant change after the Dodgers started the inning with two singles, and a questionable umpire’s call reversal on a hit batter loaded the bases. Two more singles and a grand slam home run put the Dodgers in control with a 7 – 4 lead.

Gold was unable to put a hit series together to score anymore runs and the Dodgers with the momentum added two more runs in the 7th and 9th to clinch a trip to the CWS finals.
